Dark in the Song returns to Chestertown, Maryland for our 2019 NewBassoon Institute, hosted by the National Music Festival. A week of intensive study and performance featuring contemporary bassoon solo and ensemble music, including world premieres of new bassoon music by Kamala Sankaram and Brad Balliett.

Heliand Consort returns to the Rochester Chamber Music Society’s 25th Summer Season with a buoyant selection of chamber music for oboe, bassoon and piano. We’ll perform piano solos by Lily Boulanger and Clara Schumann, duos by Nancy Galbraith, Padma Newsome and Robert Schumann, and our favorite trios by Peter Hope and Francis Poulenc. And some singing – yes!
